1 c. all-purpose flour 2 Tbsp. cornstarch 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 large egg, beaten 1/2 c. skim milk
What to do:
1. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt. Stir in egg and milk; mix just until the dry ingredients are moistened. 2. Using a tablespoon, drop the dough onto a boiling stew or broth. Cover tightly; boil gently 10 minutes or until dumplings are fluffy and no longer doughy underneath. To get tender, fluffy dumpling, be sure the stew is boiling and covered constantly. Serve immediately.
